Dubrovnik

Puede tomar un corto trayecto en coche hasta la cercana ciudad costera de Trogir, ideal si desea pasar un día más relajado con menos conducción (a unos 30 minutos de Split). Puedes explorar la ciudad y su catedral de San Lorenzo, una obra maestra arquitectónica con el famoso portal de Radovan o la torre de Kamerlengo, una fortaleza medieval al final del paseo marítimo de Trogir con una hermosa vista de la ciudad o del centro histórico protegido por la UNESCO. Pasea por el laberinto de calles empedradas que parecen un museo al aire libre. Puedes continuar conduciendo hasta Šibenik, un lugar ideal para los amantes de la historia y de la impresionante arquitectura de la catedral de San Jacob o la fortaleza de San Miguel con vistas al canal.
Si eres más amante de la naturaleza, no dejes de visitar el Parque Nacional del Krka (aproximadamente a 1 hora en coche de Split), dar un paseo en barco o caminar por los pequeños senderos y no te pierdas Skradinski buk, la cascada más grande y famosa del río Krka.

Dubrovnik
Hoy en día, puede conducir por la autopista hacia el sur hacia Dubrovnik. Tras salir de la autopista, diríjase a la región del Neretva y, si el tiempo lo permite, visite el delta del río Neretva. Admire la gran fuente de Onofrio, pase por el monasterio franciscano (que alberga una de las farmacias en funcionamiento más antiguas de Europa) y camine hasta la plaza Luža para ver la Torre del Reloj y el Palacio Sponza. Visita el Palacio del Rector, una hermosa mezcla de arquitectura gótica y renacentista que una vez albergó al gobernante de la ciudad. Justo al lado se encuentra la catedral de Dubrovnik, famosa por sus reliquias de oro y plata. Busca una mesa con sombra en una de las estrechas y empinadas callejuelas de piedra que salen del Stradun. Prueba los mariscos locales, como el risotto negro o los calamares a la parrilla.
Por la tarde, puede caminar hasta el puerto del casco antiguo y tomar el ferry de 15 minutos a la isla de Lokrum. Esta reserva natural boscosa alberga pavos reales salvajes, jardines botánicos, un lago salado del Mar Muerto en el que puedes nadar y el lugar original de rodaje del Trono de Hierro de Juego de tronos.
