Bacalar México

Bacalar is the largest city in the Bacalar municipality in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The city's main attraction is the Laguna, along whose shores is a spa where you can swim. It also offers palapas for dining, boat rides on the lagoon, and other services. The Museum of the Caste War, located in the old Fort of San Felipe, displays weapons and artifacts from Bacalar's founders and the conflicts between them and the Mayan groups, as well as pirate attacks the city has endured. Another major attraction of the city is the Blue Cenote, renowned for the clarity of its waters, which allow for perfect visibility from the surface to a depth of over 30 meters.
